The Philadelphia 76ers lost to the Toronto Raptors 118-105 Wednesday night despite another solid scoring night for Quentin Grimes who led all scorers with 29 points. The loss helps the Sixers keep pace with the Raptors as well as the Nets in hopes of being one of the bottom six teams in the NBA.
The Raptors controlled throughout most of the night but the Sixers showed a lot of life in the third quarter outscoring Toronto 31-20. Jeff Dowtin Jr. scored 7 of his 20 points in the frame, While rookie center Adam bona came up with a highlight reel throw down with under 2 minutes to play, finished with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks in 23 minutes played.
Segment 1: Player of the game: Quinton Grimes who came up just a point shy of his 5th 30 point game as a 76er. Turning point of the game: The Sixers outscored the Raptors by 11 points in the third quarter but Toronto wiped away all hope for the Sixers in the first 3 minutes of the fourth quarter when they took back control.
