South Korean standout Hyunjung Lee is getting another opportunity to pursue his NBA dream. Lee has signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Portland Trail Blazers ahead of the 2026-27 season, according to his agency, Epic Sports.

An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, non-guaranteed deal that allows Lee to compete for a roster spot during training camp. If he does not make Portland’s regular-season roster, the structure provides a pathway for him to join the Rip City Remix, Portland’s G League affiliate.
Lee has spent the past three seasons playing professionally in Japan and Australia after previously spending time in the G League during the 2022-23 season. He originally went undrafted out of Davidson.
His shooting is the biggest reason to watch him. Lee averaged 17.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in Japan last season while shooting 55 percent from the field, 46 percent from three and 84 percent from the free-throw line. He also averaged 1.2 steals per game.
At 6-foot-7, Lee has the size to play on the wing while providing the floor spacing NBA teams constantly seek. If his shooting translates against NBA competition, he could make an impression on Portland during camp even with the difficult path from an Exhibit 10 contract to a standard roster spot.
Lee is also a prominent member of the South Korean national team, making his latest NBA opportunity particularly notable as he attempts to take the next step in his professional career.
Even if Lee ultimately begins the season with Rip City Remix, Portland gives him another chance to establish himself within an NBA organization and potentially work his way toward an NBA roster.
