Houston Rockets roster moves continued this week as the Houston Rockets waived power forward/center Raphael Castro to open up roster flexibility. Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka explained the decision by stating, “Our abundance of bigs in camp, having three (centers), and then Oscar (Tshiebwe) is here, playing really well.” With veteran frontcourt depth already established by Steven Adams, Clint Capela, and Jabari Smith Jr., Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka and the front office are now positioned to prioritize adding guard depth to round out the 15-man roster before the regular season begins.
Houston Rockets trade rumors and free agency targets highlight several backcourt options to bolster the Houston Rockets lineup. Houston Rockets general manager Rafael Stone and the coaching staff are evaluating available free agent guards such as Aaron Holiday, JD Davidson, and Gabe Vincent. Additionally, the Houston Rockets are monitoring players on two-way contracts across the league, including Ryan Nembhard, Javon Small, and Caleb Love, as potential future acquisition targets.
